ROBL Performance exists to help athletes achieve their goals. Using a holistic approach, ROBL Performance supports athletes in performing at their best within their respective sports. With us, you will find sports psychologists, dietitians, physiotherapists, sleep coaches, biomechanics etc. all working cross collaborative and with the same approach to performance.

Individual coaching

With individual coaching, we will make a safe space for the athlete with room for all kinds of thoughts, issues, emotions, behavior and reflections. We focus on a collaborative stance with presence and emotional security in the relationship. The athlete will be in the center, and we work by acknowledging the relevance of the full life story of the athlete.

Team building

When working with teams, we start by acknowledging that a team is a group of individuals. They all have different motivation, competencies, knowledge, needs, and experiences. With ROBL Performance team building, we cultivate a culture, where collaboration encourages a shared dream and core value, and we take into account the different functional conditions, individual values and/or roles in the team. Through tasks and exercises, we work closer to a shared understanding, optimal group dynamic, good communication and fruitful cooperation. We impart the understanding of the unconscious dynamics to the team in order to create the basis for long lasting high performing teams.

Mental training

Our approach to mental training is based on our definition of mental strength, as the ability to act in accordance with your values, dreams, goals and plans, even when you are under pressure and facing challenging thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. When working with the mental side of performance optimization, our approach takes its theoretical starting point in the Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment Approach, together with previous experiences from working with some of the best athletes in the world.

Physical training

When working with performance optimization, the physiological factors are as important as the psychological, technical, tactical and external factors. It requires going into the depth of the physical demand of the specific sport, the internal factors such as gender, age, anthropometry ect., and where to optimize physical performance for the athlete. Whether it is in the aerobic performance, anaerobic performance and/or muscle strength, we will make a plan of physical training close together with the schedule of training and tournaments/competitions.

Sleep optimization

When an athlete is under pressure for a longer period of time whether it is important tournaments/competitions or long training weeks, there will be a change in behavior, and this may, among other things, be in relation to prioritization of sleep. A prolonged state of stress can affect sleep and cause an imbalance between rest (restitution) and activation (arousal). It is important to look into the arousal level and its effect on sleep, because it affects well-being and performance. In ROBL, we will undergo the current sleep habits and quality of the athlete and make a plan/structure together with our Performance Model, to get an optimization of sleep to enhance the overall performance and well-being of the athlete.

Dietary counseling

The connection between our physical activity and the foods we consume is indisputable. It is known that our dietary habits play a significant role on our performance. All aspects of movement, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and agility require a complex interaction of nutrients and energy. Optimal nutrition strategies allow the athlete to maximize the training effort and to reach the athletic goal. With dietary counseling, the daily intake of the athlete will be characterized by concepts of balance, variety, and moderation, and the planning will be individualized and customized so that it will benefit and contribute to high performance.

Physiotherapy

When performing on a high level, your body is constantly pressured to the max. Therefore it is even more important to get the right treatment to prevent injuries and keep the connection to a healthy body. If you are unfortunate enough to be injured, we will make a plan for your comeback. You will feel safe and secure with our physiotherapists, as their experience within elite sports is vast and beyond compare.
